“soft body” is a short film created for the SOMOS Albuquerque 2020 festival. My dad, artist Mark Horst, had the idea to make a sculpture that would capture this moment in his journey with cancer and he invited me to film it. Working with him was a gift that I had thought would never again be possible. Both the sculpture and the film are a reflection on the fragility and preciousness of life.
